FIND OUT WHY

Building Beyond Custom

“We invested more than we planned, but it is worth more than we paid and cost much less than it appears.” – John S.

Residential New Construction

Our founder uses his background as an artisan of wood, stone, glass, and metal to create your one-of-a-kind home with a focus on true craftsmanship. The term “custom” has a different meaning to our team!

Commercial Construction

You need a commercial building that reflects you, your reputation, your area of expertise, your type of business, and the customers you want to serve. We exist to help make that happen.

Custom Woodworking

The difference is in the details, and as a team of craftsmen, the details are our specialty. Custom woodworking brings a unique feel and a personal touch to your space.

Residential Renovations

Your renovation is as important as a brand new construction — maybe more so because your home is already a part of you and our team understands that.

Commercial Renovations

We bring the same level of craftsmanship to your commercial renovation project. Phil is creative with the use of time, space, and materials, keeping the project on time and on budget.

Finish Carpentry

Using only the best, most luxurious materials, and the most skilled workmen, Mastrosimone Construction takes your desires for that something special and turns them into a masterpiece.

The Mastrosimone Experience

Detail & Perfection

“Phil’s obsession with detail and perfection shows in everything he does. He is not only a master craftsman, equal in skill to his seventeenth-century counterparts, but he is also a genuine artist. He would often draw sketches of concept ideas for us, with custom flourishes of his own design that really sets his work apart from all the others. Attention to detail can make or break a home of this caliber, and this was our highest demand. Phil not only met but exceeded this requirement in all areas.”

– Mr. & Mrs. Drosos

Humbled by Its Perfection

I’ve been wanting to share pictures of our new home, but I am humbled by its perfection. We are way back off Sunnyside Drive. Deep woods with a couple of acres of swamp.

My only contribution was hiring Philip Mastrosimone Jr to build my wife’s new home.

We invested more than we planned but it is worth more than we paid, and cost much less than it appears.

Unmatched Craftsmanship

“Mastrosimone Construction built my gorgeous home! If you are looking for an honest, hard-working, amazing contractor, look no further. Phil was absolutely fantastic and completed everything quicker than I anticipated! I get so many compliments on the quality of craftsmanship in my home. My father was a builder for years and could not build my house due to health reasons, but I was determined to find someone who would build my house like my dad. Phil is a perfectionist and goes above and beyond for all of his clients. I highly recommend Mastrosimone Construction! They do AMAZING work!”

Very Professional. Beautiful Work!

“Phil’s team came in and framed in the door, detailed woodworking, and custom re-made the cabinets, even adding toe kick to rescue the kitchen. His team is very professional. The project was done on time and on budget, and the crew cleaned up everything when done!”

Debbie Deluca

Phil Mastrosimone and his team has created our family entertaining dream home. He was able to take what I had envisioned and made it a much better reality. His creativity, his imagination and his team are unparalleled in the construction world.

Phil, THANK YOU for my family’s masterpiece! I hope our friendship is lasting.

A stellar Experience!

Let me start by saying that I had no intentions of ever building a home, until I met Phil.
My wife and I were in the process of trying to add on to our existing winter home, when the builder we were using filed bankruptcy. Our electrician, Gary Berg, gave us Phil’s name, along with some other builders in the area, to help us in finishing the addition. In talking with Phil, he asked us why were putting more money into our little house to make room for our  family, when we could build a beautiful custom home from scratch, and get exactly what we wanted? In talking with Phil, it was evident he was not the one to add on to our little house. He was much too custom for what we were looking for in the addition. In the meantime, we had to return to our full time home in SC, before we had made a decision on what to do. It was then
that things started to happen. Within a week of being home, out of the blue, we had a knock on our door of someone interested in buying our home. Right after that, the lot we had always had our eye on, on Deer Island, came up for sale. It seemed like the bankruptcy, meeting Phil, the knock on our door, and the lot coming up for sale after many years of eyeing it, was all trying to tell us something. Before we knew it, we were calling Phil, of Mastrosimone Construction, Inc, to ask him if he would build us our dream home. His last name always struck my wife as a name of a music director. As it turns out, Phil is a true maestro!
Phil immediately referred us to Tom Hoffmiester, a friend of his who is a very well- known and respected architect in Lake County to design our home. Phil told us that Tom would write the music, and Phil would orchestrate it for us. In our first meeting with Tom at our little house, he asked us if there used to be a wall where we were sitting at the kitchen counter. Come to find out, he had built the little house we were sitting in many, many years ago!
After meeting with Tom and Phil a few more times, Tom was well on his way of designing a true masterpiece for us. My wife and I couldn’t have dreamed of a better team to work with. Tom wrote the music and Phil conducted it beautifully, just like he said he would. Phil has a list of contractors he uses, and we can’t say enough good things about all of them.
Phil was not an absent builder. He drove a van full of tools, and was always more than willing to tackle any part of the project. In fact, I frequently found him installing windows, trim, door jams, and cutting concrete. He treated my project like it was a home he was going to live in himself, making sure everyone treated the house properly, keeping it cleaned and protected as it progressed. Phil never once tried to renegotiate our pricing. Keep in mind; we built a home during the most expensive time to build in the history of home building. The pandemic made it difficult on the labor side, along with all kinds of supply chain issues. When we signed our contract with Phil, he said he would be finished in 18 months. Well, being the great conductor that he is, we were in our home three months early!

We could not be happier with our decision to build, and we thank God for Phil and his team every day!
We would like to thank all of Phil’s subs. They all have done a magnificent job!!! We could not be happier with their work, and the interactions we have had with them all. As I said earlier, thank you to Tom Hofmeister, for writing such a beautiful piece of music (in utmost detail), and Phil (and all his subs) who played the music beautifully!!
We highly recommend Mastrosimone Construction Inc for anyone looking for a true custom home. He and his team bring integrity, honesty, friendship, and good ole hard work to build your dream home. Thank you to Phil and your whole team!!!!
